Ladies and gentlemen, the bearded vulture!
This is probably the biggest bird in Eataly, at least as far wingspan is concerned (280 cm): it has been recently introduced again into the western Alps in the area around the Parc National du Mercantour [link]
and the Parco delle Alpi Marittime [link]
. Since 1986 140 bearderd vultures have been released in 4 different sites throughout the alpine arc and Piedmont was one of them.

So, if you go for a hike in the mountains just above Cuneo and you are really really lucky, you may spot this magnificient creature flying high in the sky
